![]() Maybe it is indeed too out of the way? As far as the casino floor goes, the games on offer are standard Vegas. Given that you’re in Las Vegas and on the Strip, this just seems weird. Walk along the “Shoppes at Mandalay Bay” or towards the Shark Reef (see my earlier review on this site) and you’ll experience even more of a ghost townish feel. ![]() In fact, in the various times I’ve visited here, it’s almost felt deserted – or at least as deserted as a Las Vegas casino could feel. Why? It would be one thing if this casino was always packed and bustling, but it isn’t. The isle-ways between the various slot machines and table games is so massive. Walking through this casino, I just see so much wasted space. ![]() I know friends who absolutely love this place – the casino and hotel – and swear by its goodness on the other hand, I know people who don’t like this property because it’s “too out of the way ” “too expensive” and just “not for them.” As for me, while I don’t deny the casino and hotel is beautiful in many respects, I tend to be with the latter camp. Ah, Mandalay Bay! This place seems to be as polarizing as Caesars Palace.
